We had two groups complete the training before Christmas. One group was our Support for Learning team, who found it really interesting and felt it offered clear and helpful guidance.
My group was mainly Early Years and lower primary staff, and we also had a few left-handed colleagues in the group. This led to some really good discussion, and our left-handed members were especially happy that we’re starting to open up these conversations.

"I would first like to sincerely thank Mr. Mark Stewart and his wife for taking the time to observe their left-handed child and conduct a thoughtful analysis that led to the creation of this video.
In the past, I used to do small research online to understand why I was born left-handed and to find useful information. However, I often came across contradictory ideas, sometimes from unreliable sources.
Mr. Mark’s video is a true guide for teachers and parents. It clearly reflects what I felt during my childhood, and even still today. It provides important clarification and practical guidance to help parents and educators better understand left-handed children and equip them with the appropriate tools to succeed in school just like their right-handed peers.
I will use this video to support other left-handed children and help spare them from the difficulties I experienced not because my former educators had bad intentions, but simply because they lacked proper information."
